With just a single bogey on her card on Sunday, Lee-Anne Pace carded a six-under-par 66 to climb into a share of eighth in the Ladies European Tour’s Aramco Team Series-Riyadh at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia.
It was a good week for Pace, with rounds of 67, 68 and her closing 66 in the 54-hole event, but, at 15-under for the tournament, she was an astonishing 14 shots behind the winner, Alison Lee of the United States. After a pair of 61s, Lee closed with a superb seven-under-par 65 as she went bogey-free for the week. Her 29-under-par finish put her eight-shots clear of runner-up Carlota Ciganda of Spain. Incredibly, Charley Hull of England closed on 18-under for the week for third place, but that was 11 strokes off the lead.
Pace shared eighth with Georgia Hall of England and reigning AIG Women’s Open champion Lilia Vu of the United States.
Behind Pace, Casandra Alexander signed off with a flourish as she closed with a seven-under 65 to move to a share of 30th on nine-under-par. Nicole Garcia carded a three-under-par 69 to climb into a share of 51st on five-under for the week.
