Lee-Anne Pace carded a closing level-par 71 on Saturday to hold on to a share of 24th place in the Ladies European Tour’s Jabra Ladies Open at Evian Resort Golf Club in France.

She overcame a double-bogey seven on the seventh hole with two birdies on her front nine to turn in level-par, and then dropped a shot again on the 17th – only to make birdie on the last. In the end, she was on three-over-par for the tournament, 12 shots behind the winner, Linn Grant of Sweden.

Grant came from behind on a dramatic final day to pip Anne van Dam of the Netherlands by two shots on nine-under-par and clinch her fifth title on the LET. “I’m feeling really happy,” the Swede said. “This course is tricky and I feel like today with some patience and good golf I really managed to hold on. I’m really happy. I said to my coach that if I win I want to get pancakes, so we’ll see!”

In the 2023 Race to Costa Del Sol, Grant now leaps into second place in the standings on 968.33 points after collecting 500 points for winning her first event of the campaign. India’s Aditi Ashok still leads the way despite having not teed up in France with 1,210,00 points. Spain’s Ana Peláez Trivino is third on 862.33 points.

Pace is in 23rd on 224 points, while Ashleigh Buhai is the leading South African, in sixth on 545.19.
