Lee-Anne Pace got it to two-under through 10 holes on Thursday before making three bogeys and two birdies in the final eight holes of the first round of the Ladies European Tour’s Amundi German Masters.
She finished her opening round on one-under-par, four shots off the lead on the tough Green Eagle Golf Courses in Niedersachsen, Germany. England’s Alice Hewson, Germany’s Helen Briem, New Zealand’s Amelia Garvey and Sweden’s Ellinor Südow all fired rounds of five-under 68 on day one to sit at the top of the leaderboard.
Four players were in a share of fifth place with Czechia’s Patricie Mackova, English duo Hannah Screen and Bronte Law, and India’s Diksha Dagar all on four-under-par. Pace was in a share of 24th with 14 other players.
Stacy Bregman opened with a level-par 73 to be in a share of 39th, while Danielle du Toit had a two-over 75 and was in a share of 68th.
