Garrick Higgo had a poor final round on Sunday, slumping to a five-over-par 70 to slip to a share of 69th in the PGA Tour’s Texas Children’s Houston Open at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas.
It was a disappointing end to what had been a solid week for Higgo, who had rounds of 68, 70 and 69 on the first three days of the tournament. In the end, too many putts that missed by too much cost him, and he made just two birdies while racking up seven bogeys.
He finished the tournament on two-over-par, 14 shots behind the winner, Stephan Jaeger of Germany. Jaeger held off world number one Scottie Scheffler, who shared second one stroke back with Tony Finau, Taylor Moore, Alejandro Tosti of Argentina and Belgium’s Thomas Detry.
