Aldrich Potgieter stayed within touch of the leaders on Tuesday with a third round of one-under-par 71 in the Korn Ferry Tour’s Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at the Abaco Club in Great Abaco, the Bahamas.
Potgieter missed the cut in the first tournament of the Korn Ferry Tour season last week, but an opening level-par 72, a second round on 70, and his third round with three birdies and two bogeys took him to three-under-par ahead of the final round.
That put him in a share of sixth, five strokes off the lead which was held at eight-under-par by Kyle Westmoreland of the United States. Westmoreland’s four-under-par 68 put him two shots ahead of fellow Americans Sam Bennett, Walker Lee and Trevor Werbylo.
Potgieter shared sixth with four other players.
