Jaco Prinsloo carded a two-under-par 68 on Friday in the second round of the Challenge Tour’s Blot Open de Bretagne in France to move into a share of sixth ahead of the weekend.
Prinsloo started his second round on the 10th hole, and quickly had a birdie under his belt when he picked up a shot on his first hole of the day. He picked up another on the 16th, but made two bogeys on the 17th and the 18th. It was pars all the way after that, but he finished with a flourish with birdies on eight and nine.
That moved him to five-under for the tournament, four shots behind the leader Robin Scott-Siegrist of France. In second was England’s Alfie Plant, one shot back on eight-under.
Bryce Eastin slipped to six-over 76 in his second round, to be level-par at the halfway stage in a share of 37th. Deon Germishuys and Luke Jerling were on one-over after rounds of 71 and 73 respectively, and were in a share of 43rd.
Tristen Strydom, Jayden Schaper and Pieter Moolman all missed the cut after rounds of 74, 76 and 75 respectively.
