Travis Procter made a birdie on the 18th on Wednesday to hold off a strong challenge to win the Bushveld Tour’s Race to Q-School #7 at Kyalami Country Club by one stroke.
Procter closed with a three-under-par 69 to beat Wandre Snyman, who made birdies on 17 and 18 to pressurise the winner every inch of the way. Also charging in the last round were the veteran Brandon Pieters, who, like Snyman, had a 67 in the final round to finish the 54 holes two strokes back on 10-under-par, and the Mauritian youngster Pierre Pellegrin, who had a six-under 66 to finish fourth on nine-under.
The Race to Q-School Order of Merit leader, Daniel Cronje, finished in fifth place on eight-under after his closing level-par 72 left him four shots adrift. Cronje leads Snyman on that points list, with Oliver Goldhill in third place.
The Race to Sunshine Tour Q-school is a 10-tournament series building up to 2026/27 Sunshine Tour Qualifying School. Players finishing from first to 10th place on the final Order of Merit will get their entry fees paid in the Sunshine Tour’s Final Stage. Those in 11th to 20th place will have their entries paid for First Stage.
