Paula Reto continued her climb up the leaderboard on Saturday as she carded a third round of two-under-par 70 in the LPGA Tour’s Kroger Queen City Championship in Cincinnati to reach a share of 30th ahead of the final round.
Reto started the round in a share of 45th, and she reached four-under for the tournament with four birdies and two bogeys. She trails the lead by 12 shots after Ally Ewing of the United States carded a five-under 67 to pull one clear of Mexico’s Maria Fassi, who also had a 67. China’s Xiyu Lin was in third on 14-under after a third-round 70.
Reto made a bogey early on in her third round when she dropped a shot on the fourth, but she made birdies on seven and eight. She picked up two more shots on 12 and 14, before making her second bogey of the round when she dropped a shot on the par-five 15th.
