He carded a final round of level-par 71 on Sunday, and MJ Daffue finished the Korn Ferry Tour’s LECOM Suncoast Classic in a share of second place on a tournament total of 16-under-par.

He finished another good week just one shot behind the winner Byeong Hun An of South Korea, who closed with a two-under-par 69 to pull off his maiden Korn Ferry Tour win. Sharing second with Daffue were Seonghyeon Kim, Scott Harrington and Ben Griffin.

Daffue had to battle back from a potentially disastrous triple-bogey eight on the ninth hole, when he has to take an unplayable from his tee shot. He hit his approach into the rough, and took two more shots from there to get on to the green. But he pulled things back nicely with three birdies and no drops on his homeward nine.

His performance means he climbs into 12th place on the Korn Ferry Tour points list, 11 places up from where he began the week.
