Jayden Schaper was once again in contention in a DP World Tour event on Saturday after his third round of one-under-par 70 lifted him into a share of eighth with one round left in the KLM Open at The international outside Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

Schaper had a birdie and two bogeys on his front nine and two birdies on the homeward nine as he climbed to two-under-par through 54 holes. The Scot Connor Syme birdied the final two holes for a superb bogey-free 66, the best round of the day, to reach 10-under-par and move two ahead of Swede Joakim Lagergren at the summit.

Amongst the four others sharing eighth with Schaper was Zander Lombard, who also had a one-under 71 in his second round.

Richard Sterne plotted his way to a one-under 70 in his second round, and was in a share of 35th on two over, while Dylan Naidoo slipped to a six-over 77 in the third round to finish 54 holes at four-over in a share of 52nd. Dylan Frittelli also had a 77 and was down in a share 66th on six-over.
