Jayden Schaper kept himself well in contention on Saturday with a third round of three-under-par 67 in the DP World Tour’s Austrian Alpine Open at Gut Altentann Golf Club in Salzburg, Austria.

Schaper made four birdies and a bogey as he moved to 10-under-par for the tournament through 54 holes. That put him in a share of fifth, five strokes behind the lead of Marcel schneider of Germany, who, at 15-under, has held the lead since the first round.

Scheider was one shot clear of countryman Nicolai von Dellinghausen after the pair carded rounds of 66 and 65 respectively on the par-70 course. Jeff Winther of Denmark was third on 13-under after a superb bogey-free eight-under 62 in the third round, while England’s Callum Tarren was fourth on 12-under. Schaper shared fifth with Swede Sebastian Soderbergh.

Brandon Stone moved inside the top 10 with his third round of three-under 67 giving him a share of 10th at eight-under-par. He had three bogeys in a round which also included six birdies.

Robin Williams will head into the final round on four-under in a share of 37th after his two-under-par 68 in the third round.

“I’m looking forward to tomorrow. I’ve got the opportunity to stay there on Sunday as a winner. But once again it’s still a long journey,” said Schneider. “We play a full 18 holes, anything can happen. Let’s see.”
