Neil Schietekat had the kind of round he wanted on Saturday with a bogey-free six-under-par 65 in the second round of the DP World Tour’s Qualifying School-Final Stage on the Lakes Course at Infinitum Golf in Tarragona, Spain.

Three birdies on each of the nines – including three in a row on the back nine, lifted him to none-under-par and a share of sixth after 36 holes of 108-hole marathon. There is one more round on each of the course – the Lakes Course and the Hills Course – ahead of the 72-hole cut and then the two-round grind to the finish. After that, the top 20 and ties will earn their DP World Tour cards for 2025.

Up front, the veteran Italian Edoardo Molinari rode a 10-under-par 61 to 17-under and the lead by five strokes.

Justin Harding had a second round of one-under-par 71 on the Hills Course, and was on six-under in a share of 35th. He was joined by, amongst others, Wilco Nienaber who had a seven-under 64 on the Lakes Course.

Jonathan Broomhead still had the problem of a double-bogey and two bogeys on his card in his second round, and, at four-under, was in a share of 60th.

Justin Walters was on one-under with George Coetzee, JC Ritchie was on level-par, and Rupert Kaminski was on two-over.
