Schwartzel just 3 back ahead of final round in Jeddah

Charl Schwartzel had a second round of three-under-par 67 on Saturday to head into the final round of the LIV Golf Invitational Jeddah on nine-under-par and in a share of third place.

Schwartzel made six birdies, a bogey and a double-bogey in his second round, and trailed leader Peter Uihlein of the United States by three shots after Uihlein posted a seven-under-par 63. Brooks Koepka was one shot off the lead after he had a second round of three-under-par 67.

Louis Oosthuizen had a level-par 70 to be in a share of 30th together with Shaun Norris on two-under for the event. Branden Grace, still battling with the injury which saw him withdraw from the Bangkok event last week, carded a one-under 69 to be in a share of 40th in the 48-man field.

Oosthuizen, Schwartzel, Grace and Norris, who make up the team Stinger GC, were in a share of seventh on 14-under. The leading team was Smash GC with Koepka, Uihlein, Chase Koepka and Jason Kokrak. They were on 30-under.
