Share of 3rd for Snyman in Korea after good week in Maekyung Open

Ian Snyman’s solid form on the Asian Tour continued on Sunday as he carded a closing four-under-par 67 to finish in a share of third in the 45th GS Caltex Maekyung Open Golf Championship at Namseoul Country Club in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.

It was a bogey-free final round from the South Africa, who reached nine-under-par for the tournament. He finished two shots behind the winner Minhyuk Song of South Korea, who beat compatriot in a play-off after both finished regulation play in 11-under-par.

The leaders each carded one-under-par 70s in a tense final round, while Snyman picked up shots on the first and fourth on the front nine, and on the 16th and 18th on the homeward nine.

Snyman shared third with Koreans Inhoi Hur and Taehee Lee, who closed with 64 and 69 respectively.

Jbe’ Kruger also had a top-10 finish, with his closing one-under-par 70 taking him to five-under for the tournament and a share of ninth.

Kieran Vincent was in a share of 31st after his closing two-over took him to level-par for the tournament.
