Ian Snyman carded a four-under-par 68 on Thursday to get himself into a share of 11th after the first round of the Asian Tour’s Yeangder TPC at Linkou International Golf and Country Club in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
It was a bogey-free round for Snyman, and it left him four shots off the lead which was held by Shiv Kapur of India. Kapur had an eagle, eight birdies and two bogeys in his eight-under-par 64, and he led by two from Malaysia’s Ben Leong and Taiwan’s Chan Shih-chang.
One back from Snyman, Mathiam Keyser signed for a three-under-par 69 and a share of 19th, while Adilson Da Silva had a level-par 72 for a share of 66th. Keith Horne carded a one-over-par 73 and was in a share of 84th.
Zimbabwe’s Benjamin Follett-Smith battled his way to a three-over-par 75 and was down in a share of 116th.
