Ian Snyman added a five-under-par 67 on Friday to his opening four-under in the Asian Tour’s Yeangder TPC at Linkou International Golf and Country Club in New Taipei City as he moved into a share of 11th on nine-under-par.
He was three strokes behind the halfway leader, Travis Smyth after the Australian also carded a five-under 67 to move to 12-under for the tournament. Smyth led by one from India’s Gaganjeet Bullar and countryman Jack Thompson. There were seven players on 10-under in a share of fourth.
Snyman made six birdies and a bogey, picking up four shots on the front nine, and making two birdies and a bogey on the back nine.
Jbe’ Kruger and Jaco Ahlers were on seven-under-par in a share of 24th after rounds of 69 and 70 respectively. MJ Viljoen battled to a one-over 73 after his opening 66, and, at five-under at halfway, was in a share of 40th.
Neil Schietekat had a two-under 70, but missed the cut at on-under through 36 holes.
