Snyman climbs to 17th in Thailand after 3rd round of 67

Ian Snyman climbed into a share of 17th place on Saturday after the third round of the Asian Tour’s International Series Thailand at Black Mountain Golf Club with his five-under-par 67 taking him to 14-under for the tournament ahead of the final round.

Snyman made six birdies and a bogey, and he found himself six shots off the lead which was held by Phachara Khongwatmai of Thailand after his nine-under-par 63 took him three shots clear at the top of the leaderboard. Trailing him were countrymen Poosit Supupramai and Itthipat Buranatanyarat, together with Sihwan Kim of the United States, India’s Karandeep Kochhar and Doyeob Mun of South Korea.

Jaco Ahlers battled a bout of the mid-round bogeys: He made four bogeys in five holes around the turn, but five birdies saw him sign for a one-under 71, taking him to 13-under for the tournament and a share of 24th.

Mathiam Keyser had a six-under 66 to move to 12-under and a share of 36th, while Zimbabwe’s Scott Vincent’s three-under took him to a share of 17th on 14-under with Snyman.
