Ian Snyman produced a four-under-par 66 on Friday to climb into a share of 19th at the halfway mark of the Asian Tour’s SJM Macao Open at Macau Golf and Country Club.
Snyman made four birdies on the front nine, and picked up two in a row on the final two holes. He dropped shots on the fourth and the 14th as he moved to five-under-par at the halfway mark of the tournament.
He was eight strokes off the lead which was held by Rattanon Wannasrichan of Thailand, who added a four-under 66 to his opening 61. At 13-under, he led by two from countryman Gunn Charoenkul.
Daniel van Tonder had a one-under 69 in his second round, and he was in a share of 27th through 36 holes on four-under-par. Jaco Ahlers was two shots further back after a second round in a row of 69, and in a share of 38th.
David Meyers made the cut on the number with his second-round 69 taking him to a share of 56th on level-par. Yurav Premlall will also play the weekend after his second level-par 70 in a row, but Jbe’ Kruger, who won on the tour last week, was not so lucky after a one-over 71 left him one stroke off the pace. Ryan van Velzen’s second round of one-under 69 was also in vain as he, too, missed the cut.
