As scoring continued to be difficult on Friday in the second round of the Asian Tour’s Singapore International at the Tampines Course at Tanah Merah Country Club, Ian Snyman held on to make the cut after a second round of one-under-par 71.
His was one of only 11 rounds under par in the second round, and his four birdies and three bogeys saw him move to a share of 20th after 36 holes. The tournament is being led by Rattanon Wannasrichan on five-under after a six-under for his second round. He’s one ahead of amateur countryman Ratchanon Chantananuwat of Thailand, who also carded a 66 on Friday, and of India’s Khalin Joshi. There are only three other players on par or better heading into the weekend.
The top South African performer from the first round was Mathiam Keyser who was on one-under. He carded a second-round of eight-over-par 80 to make the cut on the number at seven-under.
