Casandra Alexander finished in a share of eighth on Sunday after her closing three-under-par 69 in the Ladies European Tour’s Aramco Houston Championship at Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland, Texas.

Alexander made four birdies and a bogey in her final round as she moved to eight-under-par for the tournament. That put her five strokes behind the winner, Nuria Iturrioz of Spain, who closed with a four-under 68 to beat countrywoman Carlota Ciganda and England’s Charley Hull by two strokes.

Iturrioz began the day in second place just one shot behind Ciganda, and a surge of three birdies in her final five holes saw her pull clear to secure her first victory since 2023. “I was really looking forward to winning one of these PIF Global Series events,” she said. “I have won as part of the team before. It’s really special to do it here in the US knowing I have been trying to get to the LPGA and knowing I can play these courses well is good.”

Singapore’s Shannon Tan finished in solo fourth place on 10-under-par, and a trio of Frenchwomen was in a share of fifth place with Celine Boutier, Perrine Delacour, and Nastasia Nadaud all on nine-under-par.

Alexander’s performance sees her remain solidly in fifth place on the Order of Merit.
