Richard Sterne kept his eye on progressing up the Race to Dubai rankings with a two-under-par 69 on Saturday in the third round of the DP World Tour’s Genesis Championship at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club in Cheonan, South Korea.

Sterne’s four birdies and two bogeys moved him to four-under-par for the tournament through 54 holes, and put him in a share of 12th. He was six shots adrift of the lead, which was held by Mikael Lindberg of Sweden and Spain’s Nacho Elvira.

There were four players in a share of third on six-under, two strokes behind the lead, and five players on five-under. Sterne shared 12th with six other players, and there were 10 players, including Jacques Kruyswijk, on three-under in a share of 19th. Kruyswijk had a one-over 72 in the third round.

Sterne is in 69th place in the Race to Dubai rankings, and is looking to finish what has been a good season on a high as he returns to something like his best form after years of battling with injury.

Home hopefuls Seungbin Choi and Garam Jeon were among those at five under alongside Aphibarnrat, Belgian Thomas Detry and Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama.
