Brandon Stone had a bogey-free five-under-par 66 on Friday in the second round of the Challenge Tour’s B-NL Challenge Trophy at Twentsche Golf Club in Deldenerbroek, Netherlands to move into a share of seventh ahead of the weekend.

Together with his opening one-under-par 70, Stome moved to six-under through 36 holes, putting him just three shots off the lead. Alone at the top of the leaderboard was Frenchman Benjamin Hebert, who had a three-under 68 in his second round. That took him one clear of four players, Michael Hirmer of Germany, Oscar Lengden of Sweden, and English duo Alex Fitzpatrick and Ben Schmidt.

Stone made three birdies on the front nine, and two on the back, and he shares seventh with six other players.

Martin Vorster also had a good second round, his four-under-par 67 lifting him to a share of 15th place on five-under. Casey Jarvis hung on for a one-over-par 72 in the second round, and, at one-under for the tournament, was in a share of 54th together with Hadyn Porteous, who had a level-par 71 in the second round. They both made the cut on the number.

Jaco Prinsloo, Dylan Mostert and JJ Senekal, all flying high inside the top 10 on the Road to Mallorca rankings on the Challenge Tour, missed the cut by one after rounds of 71, 71 and 73 respectively. Pieter Moolman and Keenan Davidse missed the cut too, as did Zimbabwe’s Benjamin Follett-Smith.
