Tristen Strydom had his best round of the tournament so far on Saturday when he carded a three-under-par 67 in the third round of the Challenge Tour’s D+D REAL Czech Challenge in the Czech Republic.

It was a bogey-free effort from the man who won the Sunshine Tour’s Tour Championship in April, as he picked up shots on the second, the sixth and the seventh holes. That was the sum of his scoring for the round, but it lifted him to five-under for the tournament after a pair of one-under-par scores got things going. That puts him seven strokes behind the leader, Ugo Coussaud of France, who had a hole-in-one in his six-under-par 66. Coussaud led by two from Nicolai Kristensen of Denmark, and by four from another Dane, Martin Simonsen, in third.

Behind him, Deon Germishuys carded a one-under-par 69 with two birdies and a bogey, moving into a share of 42nd on two-under through 54 holes. Keenan Davidse battled his way to a five-over 75 and slipped to 62nd on two-over for the tournament.
