Telfer on the rise in women’s world rankings

Kayleigh Telfer’s third-place finish in the Jabra Ladies Classic last week gave her a three-place boost in the latest Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.

The Sunshine Ladies Tour rookie is South Africa’s 10th-best player according to the rankings, and she was up into 1170th.

There were also climbs for Cara Gorlei, up two, Lejan Lewthwaite, up three, Jabra Ladies Classic winner Casandra Alexander, who was up 1, and South Africa’s top-ranked players, Ashleigh Buhai, was up into the world’s top 20 after a strong performance on the LPGA Tour in the Honda LPGA Thailand.
