Jaco Prinsloo closed with a level-par 72 on Sunday to finish in a share of ninth in the Challenge Tour’s UAE Challenge at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club in Abu Dhabi.

He made three birdies and three bogeys in his final round to move to eight-under-par for the tournament. That was six strokes behind the winner, Maximilian Rottluff of Germany, who closed with a two-under-par 70 for his 14-under total, which was good enough to hold off Road to Mallorca leader Ugo Coussaud of France, who signed for a five-under-par 67 in his final round. Craig Howie of Scotland and Lars van Meijel of the Netherlands shared third on 12-under.

Prinsloo shared ninth with Om Prakash Chouhan of India and Cole Madey of the United States.

Brandon Stone closed with a one-over-par 73 to finish on four-under in a share of 25th, while Keenan Davidse and Wilco Nienaber were a shot further back in a share of 29th. Luke Jerling had a closing 70 to finish level-par in a share of 46th.

Dylan Mostert, JJ Senekal, Ruan Conradie, Casey Jarvis, Tristen Strydom and Haydn Porteous all missed the cut.
