Justin Walters closed with a fine six-under-par 65 on Sunday to finish in a share of 10th in the DP World Tour’s Danish Golf Championship at Lübker Golf Resort in Aarhus, Denmark.

But for a bogey on the 17th, Walters would have finished on eight-under-par for the tournament in a share of fifth. Instead, his seven birdies, including a run of four around the turn on nine, 10, 11 and 12 saw him finish on seven-under, seven shots off the winning total.

Frenchman Frederic Lacroix carded a closing bogey-free six-under to finish on q4-under. That gave him a four-stroke win over countryman Romain Langasque and Dane Lucas Bjerregaard. Frenchman Daived Ravetto finished fourth, and there were five players in a share of fifth on eight-under-par.

Walters finished one stroke ahead of Thomas Aiken who had a fourth-round total of level-par 71. He was in a share of 14th.

Oliver Bekker had a closing one-over 72 to finish in a share of 37th on three-under-par while Robin Williams had a 69 in the final round to finish one-over for the tournament in a share of 57th.

Jacques Kruyswijk finished on five-over after his two-over 73 in a share of 69th, while JJ Senekal withdrew ahead of the final round.
