Jbe’ Kruger held on for a top-10 finish on Sunday with a closing one-under-par 69 in the final round of the Asian Tour’s International Series Macau at Macau Golf and Country Club in Macau, China.
Kruger made two birdies and a bogey during the final round where the eventual runner-up, David Puig of Spain, made and nine birdies in his closing 10-under-par 60. That put him level with John Catlin of the United States, who had carded a third-round 59, on 23-under.
Catlin won the sudden-death play-off, while Lucas Herbert of Australia finished third on 21-under. Patrick Reed of the United States was fourth on 20-under. France’s Martin Trainer, Ben Campbell of New Zealand and American Jason Kokrak shared fifth on 19-under.
Kruger shared 10th with three other players.
Jaco Ahlers closed off with a five-under-par 65, his best round of the week, as he shared 41st on 11-under-par.
