Ashleigh Buhai climbed inside the top 10 on Sunday with a closing 69 in the final round of the Ladies European Tour’s Aramco Sauda Ladies International at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia.

The reigning Investec South African Women’s Open champion made four birdies and just a single bogey in the final round to finish the week on five-under-par. That was 13 strokes behind the runaway winner, Patty Tavatanakit of Thailand, who closed with a seven-under-par 65 to move to 18-under and a seven-stroke victory over Esther Henseleit of Germany. Minami Katsu of Japan and Charley Hull of England shared third on none-under, a further two shots back.

Paula Reto pulled a solid closing round of level-par 72 out of the bag to finish in a share of 18th on two-under-par.

It is a fifth professional victory for the 24-year-old Tavatanakit, her first on the Ladies European Tour and her first since winning the 2021 ANA Inspiration.
