Ian Snyman closed with a two-under-par 70 on Sunday to finish in a share of 16th in the Asian Tour’s Mandiri Indonesia Open at the Pondok Indah Golf Course.

After a pair of birdies on four and six, and a pair of bogeys on eight and 10, Snyman had an eagle on the par-five 14th to complete the tournament on 11-under-par. That was seven shots behind the winner, Nitithorn Thippong, whose level-par 72 saw him finish 18-under, two clear of Scott Hend of Australia, England’s Steve Lewton and Lee Chieh-po of Chinese Taipei.

Jaco Ahklers came through well in his final round with a five-under-par 67 lifting him to a share of 26th on nine-under-par. Halfway leader MJ Viljoen battled over the weekend, closing with a four-over 76 to slip to a share of 33rd on eight-under.

Snyman’s performance will lift him to 45th on the Asian Tour Order of Merit.
