Daniel van Tonder marked time on Saturday as he carded a third round of level-par 71 in the HotelPlanner Tour’s Dutch Futures at The Dutch in Spijk, Netherlands.

That left him on six-under-par through 54 holes, and in a share of sixth place, and still very much in contention for what would be his third title of the season and automatic promotion to the DP World Tour.

Van Tonder made three birdies and three bogeys, and he was three strokes off the lead which was held by Italy’s Filippo Celli at nine-under-par. Celli led by one from four players, and Van Tonder shared sixth with four more.

It was a quiet start to the third round for Van Tonder, who bogeyed the second hole. He also dropped shots on the eighth and 11th, but picked up shots on the sixth, 12th and 13th.

Wilco Nienaber carded a one-under-par 70 to move into a share of 36h on one-under for the tournament.
