Williams moves inside top 10 ahead of final round of Challenge de España

A run of five birdies in his final seven holes on Saturday saw Robin Williams climb inside the top 10 in the third round of the Challenge Tour’s Challenge de España at Real Club Sevilla Golf in Seville, Spain.

Williams carded a three-under-par 69 in his third round, after picking up two early bogeys and making a double-bogey on the 10th hole. In addition to his closing burst of birdies, he made two more on the front nine, and, at seven-under for the tournament through 54 holes, he was in a five-way share of 10th.

In the lead was Finland’s Tapio Pulkkanen at 12-under, and he had a two-stroke lead over Scotland’s Jamie Rutherford. There were five players in a share of third on nine-under, and two players were in a share of eighth, one shot ahead of Williams.

Bryce Easton also had a third -round three-under-par 69 to move to five-under for the tournament and a share of 21st. Rhys Enoch of Wales, who led after the first round, signed for a one-over 73 in another topsy-turvy round, and was in a share of 47th on two-under.
