Jovan Rebula eagled the first hole on Sunday on his way to a closing six-under-par 63 in the final round of the HotelPlanner Tour’s Interwetten Open at Schladming-Dachstein Golf Club in Oberhaus, Austria.
He holed his approach on the first for the eagle, and he made five birdies and a bogey as he climbed eight places on the leaderboard into a share of third. The tournament was won by local Maximilian Steinlechner, who was largely untroubled on his way to a closing 64. That took him to 21-under and a two-stoke margin over Italy’s Filippo Celli.
Sharing third with Rebula were Oihan Guillamoundeguy of France and fellow-South African JC Ritchie. Ritchie made bogeys on 11 and 18, with the one on 18 costing him a chance of finishing second with Celli.
Bryce Easton closed with a three-under 66 to finish on 14-under in a share of 15th, while Oliver Bekker had a one-under 68 in the final round to finish on 11-under in a share of 37th.
