Dylan Frittelli posted the second-lowest round of the day on Saturday with a superb seven-under-par 64 elevating him to sixth place after 54 holes of the DP World Tour’s in the DS Automobiles Open d’Italia at Circolo Golf Torino.

The South African opened his round with an eagle on the first, and he picked up six more birdies, dropping just a single shot on the par-three 13th. He moved to 12-under-par, five shots behind the leader as he headed into the final round.

Up front, it was Spaniard Eugenio Chacarra who will go in search of his third DP World Tour win and his second in succession after this month’s KLM Open, having made his breakthrough at last year’s Hero Indian Open.

The Spaniard reeled in long-time leader Joaquin Niemann and pulled ahead at 17-under-par with a late run of three straight birdies. He will play with Niemann and Matt Wallace, both 15-under, in Sunday’s final three-ball, with the start times brought forward due to the weather forecast.

Daniel van Tonder carded a three-under 68 to move to a share of 18th on nine-under-par, while JC Ritchie’s one-under 70 saw him slip to a share of 55th on five-under-par.
