Ian Snyman opened his campaign in the Asian Tour’s World City Championship at Hong Kong Golf Club on Thursday with a four-under-par 66 and a share of fourth after the first round.

It was a bogey-free effort from Snyman, who made birdies on one, three, six and 10, and he shared fourth with four other players, three strokes behind the leader, Miguel Tabuena of the Philippines. He led by one from Taichi Kho of Hong Kong, and Australia’s Scott Hend was in third on five-under.

There were 10 players one stroke behind Snyman and the others in a share of eighth.
