Pace made four birdies and four bogeys, and shared 11th with seven other players, including the Sunshine Ladies Tour’s Investec Order of Merit winner, Lily May Humphreys of England.

The other South African in the field, Stacy Bregman, who won the recent Standard Bank Ladies Open on the Sunshine Ladies Tour at Royal Johannesburg and Kensington West, opened with a three-over-par 74 to be in a share of 47th after the first round.
