Oliver Bekker slipped to a closing two-over-par 72 on Sunday to miss out on a chance to make it into LIV Golf for the 2026 season as he finished in a share of eighth at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida.

Bekker went into the final round well-placed to be one of the three players who would earn wild card placed on the new year’s roster as an individual, but a double-bogey and four bogeys in his closing round saw him slip out of contention.

He made four birdies to be two-under-par for the 36-hole weekend after he made it into that final charge with good opening rounds on Thursday and Friday. In the end, he would have needed to have picked up three more shots to make it into the top three.

A dominant performance for Canada’s Richard T Lee, a clutch low round for Sweden’s Bjorn Hellgren, and an inspirational return for American Anthony Kim saw those players celebrate. after earning the three wild card spots available through this week’s LIV Golf Promotions. They now join International Series qualifiers Scott Vincent and Yosuke Asaji as the five wild card players who will compete in the 13 regular season tournaments during the 2026 LIV Golf League season.

Bekker will have some consolation, however, as the top 10 and ties earn full exemption for the 2026 International Series on the Asian Tour. Zimbabwe’s Kieran Vincent was one of those players after he finished in a share of fourth at Black Diamond Ranch with his closing three-under 67.
