Cara Gorlei reached a career-high of 836^th this week on the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings as she moved into the top 10 South African players ranked on the list.

Gorlei, who had reached 903^rd after the Investec South African Women’s Open championship where she finished 53^rd, has an 11^th place finish in the Thailand Mixed Cup presented by Trustgolf to thank for her rise in the rankings.

She supplanted Lejan Lewthwaite as South Africa’s 10^th-best player according to the official list, and she is 149 places behind the ninth-ranked player, Keira Floyd, who was 687^th this week.

South Africa’s top-ranked player, Ashleigh Buhai, climbed four places to 16^th after he third-place finish in the LPGA Tour’s Cognizant Founders Cup at the weekend.
