Keith Horne raced to a six-under-par 64 on Saturday as he moved into a share of second after the second round of the Legends Tour’s Swiss Seniors Open at Golf Club Bad Ragaz in Switzerland.
It was a bogey-free effort from the man who won the inaugural Reignwood Legends Championship in China on the tour last week by one shot, and his six birdies took him to nine-under-par. He and New Zealander Mark Brown and England’s Van Phillips shared second, one stroke behind the leader Robert Coles of England.
Horne could go to the top of the Order of Merit with a win in Switzerland. The South African matched the best round of the week.
Coles is in pole position for a second Legends Tour victory, but the leaderboard remains tightly bunched with 16 players within four strokes of his lead.
Last year’s Order of Merit winner Adilson Da Silva had a second round of two-under-par 68 to move to five-under and a share of 17th. Darren Fichardt was a shot back after a 68, and James Kingston was in a share of 38th on two-under after he too had a 68.
