Aldrich Potgieter made his first cut in four tournaments on Friday when he carded a second-round score of three-under-par 69 in the Korn Ferry Tour’s Compliance Solutions Championship in Norman Oklahoma.
His four birdies and a bogey took him to five-under-par through 36 holes as he made the cut on the number. It was his sixth cut made in 13 tournaments in what has been a disappointing season after he won the second tournament of the Korn Ferry Tour season back in January.
He was nine strokes off the lead which was held by John Pak of the United States at 154-under after his second round of 66 took him one clear of fellow-American Jack Maguire. Amateur Cooper Jones shared third with another American, Trevor Cone.
Christo Lamprecht missed his second successive cut in his second tournament as a professional after a second-round of one-under 71 left him two strokes short of qualifying for the weekend.
Dawie van der Walt and MJ Daffue also both missed the cut.
