Charl Schwartzel battled a little on the second day of LIV Golf Adelaide at the Grange Golf Club in Adelaide, Australia, as he carded a one-over-par 73 to slip into a share of 15th ahead of the final round of the 54-hole event.

Schwartzel made three birdies and four bogeys, after opening with a three-under-par 69 in the first round. He was in a share of seventh after that start, three shots behind the leader, Sam Horsfield of England.

At two-under after 36 holes, he was seven strokes behind the lead which was shared by Horsfield, Abraham Ancer and Carlos Ortiz of Mexico. Joaquin Niemann of Chile was one shot off the lead on eight-under, and Jon Rahm of Spain was in fifth.

Schwartzel’s Stinger GC teammate, Dean Burmester, had a second round of one-under-par 71 to go with his opening two-under 79, and he climbed into a share of ninth.

Branden Grace put together a second successive level-par 72 to be in a share of 26th in the 54-man field, while Louis Oosthuizen slipped to a three-over 75 and was in a share of 42nd.
