Ian Snyman is in eighth place on the Asian Tour’s Order of Merit after his sixth-place finish on Sunday in the tournament co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour and the Asian Tour, the Trust Golf Asian Mixed Cup at Siam Country Club in Thailand.

Snyman closed with a four-under-par 68 to finish the week on 15-under-par, five shots behind the winner, amateur Ratchanon Chantananuwat. The 15-year-old closed with an impressive 65 to win by two strokes from South Korea’s Joohyung Kim. Paul Petersen of the United States and Bio Kim of Korea shared third on 17-under, with John Catlin of America fifth on 16-under.

Snyman made four birdies on the front nine, and another on the 12th, but he dropped a shot on the 14th. That gave him his second top-10 finish in his four starts this season on the Asian Tour.

In the tournament that featured 72 men and 72 women all competing in the same event for the same prize fund, Nobuhle Dlamini of Swaziland finished with a three-under 69 to be in a share of 22nd. Nicole Garcia had a one-under closing round and, at nine-under for the tournament, was in a share of 30th. Keith Horne was on two-under in 65th, and Casandra Alexander on level-par in 68th.
