In a low-scoring final round on Saturday, MJ Daffue’s closing three-under-par 68 was not enough to get him closer to the summit of the leaderboard as he finished in a share of 26th in the Korn Ferry Tour’s Veritex Bank Championship in Arlington, Texas.
Daffue’s four birdies and a bogey took him to 15-under for the tournament, but that was eventually a long way back from the winning 22-under-par total of Tyson Alexander of the United States. Alexander had round of 65-66-66-65 to win by two shots from Pontus Nyholm of Sweden who closed with a nine-under 62.
Daffue’s finish saw him drop one position to 15th on the Korn Ferry Tour’s points table, still well within the top 25, who will earn their PGA Tour playing rights as the end of the season. He has three top-10 finishes this season in the 18 events he has played, and he has made 14 cuts.
