Dean Burmester continued his run of good form on Friday when he carded an opening four-under-par 67 in the first round of LIV Golf-Singapore at Sentosa Golf Club to be in a share of eighth.
Burmester started his round on the third hole in the shotgun start with a bogey, but he didn’t drop another shot as he picked up five birdies to be in an eight-way share of eighth. He was two shots off the lead le eighth with Burmester was his Stinger GC captain and teammate, Louis Oosthuizen, who had an eagle, five birdies and three bogeys in his 67.
The all-South African was on 10-under-par, one shot off the lead which was shared by Fireballs GC and Smash GC. Branden Grace provided the third score to count with his two-under which put him in a share of 22nd.
Charl Schwartzel opened with a one-under-par 70.
